Interfaith Hospitality Network
Four times a year the youth from our group provide fellowship to families staying at our church as part of the Interfaith Hospitality Network.  Transitional housing is supplied to families going through financial difficulties.  Job training and assistance are offered in this program.  Our members show up at 6 p.m. to play with the children, play music for the families, and just spend time together in God's house.  We have received so many positive comments from our guests, that we look forward to our next visitors.

Crock Pot Thursday
When assistance money runs out in the last week of the month our church provides a free dinner on Thursday of that week.  Our teens are there to set up and take down tables and serve beverages for dinner.

Breakfast with Santa
This activity is a fund raiser / community building project.  We tell Nativity stories, supervise crafts, hand out Santa's letters, help children decorate cookies, and take their picture with St Nick himself.

Shop N Wrap
We sponsor a family at Christmas using the money we earn through our Get You Can to Church program.  Last year we gave a local family $600 in Giant Eagle gift cards.  Some years we get a list, shop, and wrap presents for an entire family.

Easter Egg Hunt
We stuffed and hid over 2,500 Easter eggs around the church grounds.  Children were separated into age groups and given the go ahead to find as many candy filled eggs as possible.  It was great fun.  When some children showed up late, after the last egg was claimed, we were pleased to see the other children dip into their stash of eggs and fill the baskets of the latecomers.

Family Fun Night
We run the game room on our indoor winter picnic.  Even though our teens would probably like to be playing the games sometimes, instead of running them,  we do a good job of keeping every child busy and happy.
Volunteering Opportunities

"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in."
-Matthew 25:35

As Catholics, we are called to love and serve other in Jesus' name.  Here are some ways to become involved with our parish community by being active witnesses of our faith to others:
